The legacy of The Flower Fields dates back nearly 85 years. In the early 1920s, horticulturist Luther Gage brought ranunculus seeds to the Carlsbad area, planting the seeds for what would become a beloved annual tradition. His neighbor, Frank Frazee, soon joined him in cultivating these vibrant blooms, passing the passion down through generations.

Beyond the mesmerizing sea of flowers, The Flower Fields offer a variety of attractions:

  • Glass in Flight: Marvel at larger-than-life glass sculptures of butterflies and hummingbirds, adding an artistic touch to the natural beauty.

  • Butterfly Garden: Stroll through a dedicated garden designed to attract and support local butterfly populations.

  • Special Events: Throughout the season, enjoy concerts, workshops, and other family-friendly activities.
